It’s Here to Stay
The Vancouver Island Parent Conference has been putting on world-class parenting conferences for over 10 years, bringing together attendees from across BC. This year’s conference theme is “Change: It’s Here to Stay”. Come enjoy a day of connecting with other parents over important, of-the-moment issues. Learn useful tools and hear fresh perspectives from leading experts.
Conference Topics Include...

we do with our children and
how to get out of them.
Parenting Through the Storm
Having a child who is struggling doesn’t make you a bad parent.
Ann Douglas shares some of her own hard-won wisdom about thriving as a family while weathering one of life’s many storms.
From preparing for puberty to beyond the talk, Jennifer is providing two sessions to support parents and other adult allies in having these often uncomfortable but important conversations.
Cannabis Use and Youth
So cannabis use is legal for adults in BC. How will this impact youth and their families? This interactive session will help address some of the common questions we all have related to cannabis use and youth.
Role Modelling Healthy Masculinities
Develop strategies for healthy and
non-violent expressions of maleness
Learn how to support your child in a world of media & communications influence.
Opening dialogues about how internet technologies impact and influence our learning & home environments.
Learn solutions that cool down the “hot spots” of problems for working families.

Fantastic. Great learning experience and good to know our schools are embracing change, however difficult.
Really learned a lot – thank you! I also very much appreciate the ability to share the webinars with my friends and family and the parents at our school!
THANK YOU to the Conference committee for once again, putting on a FABULOUS conference.
